Frankie's Story

My personal journey into plant-based medicine began at a very early age, living in a very traumatic environment as a child, suffering both physical and mental abuse. This left me feeling very triggered and sensitive, almost daily.

Being left unacknowledged & undiagnosed for a large proportion of my life, this left me feeling unable at times to be able to control my emotional and mental states. After seeking support from a physiatrist after living through a mid-life crisis at the age of 32, I learnt that I had always subconsciously suffered from PTSD, anxiety and depression as I entered my early teens, through to my adult life.

In relation to plant-based medication, I feel it has aided me personally by reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and alleviating symptoms such as mental flashbacks or emotional distress. Its calming effects helped me manage the overwhelming emotions and hyperarousal linked to my firsthand traumatic experiences, providing relief from both physical and psychological symptoms. 

I personally found it helpful in regulating mood and enhancing emotional resilience, making it easier for me to cope and regulate my trauma. 

This organic journey of mine was then catapulted forward exponentially when my 3-year-old nephew Frankie was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer. For those of you that do not know, Neuroblastoma is a cancer that starts in certain, very early forms of nerve cells, most often found in an embryo or fetus. This type of cancer occurs most often in infants and young children.

Fast forwarding from initial diagnosis to being classed as stage 4 (50 % survival rate at this point) nothing was off the table. After researching and speaking with numerous professionals in the alternative medicine industries, my cousin was provided with data indicating the success rate of clinical trials, using CBD & THC oils in cancer patients.

Unfortunately, it was virtually impossible to legally obtain CBD / THC oil at that time, contradictory to the state-based government legislation passed through the courts, defining cannabis and cannabis related products as legal prescribed medication in 2016, did not make logical sense.

Then the only source to obtain both oils was through amazing individuals experienced in organically growing and extracting the plant medicine, willing to risk serious jail time, to genuinely help others.

After 2 years of CBD/THC & numerous other cannabinoid oils being coupled with the radiation and chemotherapy treatments, Frankie made it through!

Unfortunately, the other children sharing his specialized cancer ward did not, the only underlying difference being Frankie’s use of cannabinoids and plant-based medicines, in conjunction with the medicines and treatments being given to him.
